Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities









What We're Looking For:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Government Earned Value Management System Leader to join our dynamic team and lead the successful integration, setup, and management of Earned Value Management Systems within our organization. This role is critical to ensuring that our projects are managed efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards, especially for government contracts. The successful candidate will have a strong blend of project management expertise, regulatory knowledge, and technical and communication skills with a natural ability to lead and influence others. What You'll Do:Plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and processes across our organizationOwn the corporate EVMS description, iterating procedures to ensure government compliance and understanding with both internal and external customersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EVMS processes into project workflowsSelect, configure, and maintain EVMS software tools and technologies, including proficiency in software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Deltek Cobra etc.Effectively train project teams and stakeholders on EVMS principles, procedures, and best practicesEstablish and maintain comprehensive documentation, policies, and procedures related to EVMS implementationEnsure compliance with regulatory standards, including DCAA requirements, and prepare for auditsOversee the collection and analysis of project data, including cost, schedule, and performance metrics, utilizing advanced data analysis toolsGenerate regular EVMS performance reports and communicate project status to stakeholders, including proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BIConduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between planned and actual performance metricsDevelop and implement corrective actions to address performance deviations, using programming skills, if necessaryMonitor project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies within the EVMS frameworkStay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging EVMS technologiesContinuously improve EVMS processes and tools to enhance project management capabilities

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Business, Engineering, etc.)12+ years of proven experience in implementing and managing EVMS, preferably in government contracts and satellite communicationsStrong understanding of DCMA regulations and government contract complianceProficiency in EVMS software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Deltek Cobra etc.)Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues clearly and confidently, and confidently recognize and adapt to different communication techniquesBe a strategic thinker who demonstrates good judgment and decisivenessBe able to analyze a situation or problem and come up with effective solutionsCan easily form relationships with executive leadership and encourage cross-functional team buildingThe ability to thrive in a dynamic environment by handling multiple tasks according to deadline and budget limitationsBe proactive in finding new and enhanced ways of doing things and sharing your knowledge with others Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
Have led multiple cycles of EVMS deployment and/or adherenceProject management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plusKnowledge of risk management principles and toolsFamiliarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools is advantageousExperience with IT infrastructure and cloud-based solutions is a plus We'll also need you to:
  • This position directly performs under, supports, or is exposed to a U.S. government contract. To comply with the requirements of that U.S. government contract, applicants for this position must be U.S. citizen
  • Be able to obtain a government security clearanceWork Environment:This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer. For meetings in-person, this position will need to be able stand, walk within the office and climb stairs on occasion.
