• Certification Details
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support for UVA: ARC and AHA accepted
• BLS - Basic Life Support for UVA: AHA and ARC accepted
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support for UVA: ARC, AHA accepted
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure for UVA: AHA AAP accepted, RQI certs acceptable
• CHEMO - Chemotherapy certification required for specific RN positions
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course for UVA: ENA cert accepted
• Tech Cert Verification - National for certain Allied Professional positions
• State License 1 Verification required for new and extension contracts
• NURSYS Verification required as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification acceptable from AHA, Apex, or AA CME
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute certification required for Behavioral Health nurses
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required

  • 13 weeks contract length
  • 3 12-hour shifts from 0630-1900
  • Cardiac call: 6-10 call shifts per 6 week schedule including one 24-hour Saturday and one 24-hour Sunday call shift; subject to change
  • Cardiac weeknight call: 1700-0700
  • Scrub and circulate required
  • 2 years experience required
  • Level 1 experience required
  • 50 mile radius rule
  • Can submit with VA license pending
