  • Job Details
  • Radiation Therapy position available in West Virginia at Berkeley Medical Center.
  • Contract length of 13 weeks.
  • Role focuses on administering external beam radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
  • Department handles 30-35 therapeutic radiation treatments per day and 3-5 CT simulations daily.
  • Image-guided radiation therapy and CBCT are common types of imaging/studies performed.
  • Experience with Varian linear accelerators is crucial.
  • Uses ARIA and EPIC systems.
  • Equipment includes GE Lightspeed, Varian 2100 IX.
    • Job Requirements
    • Certified Radiation Therapist - ARRT (T) Verification required.
    • BLS (AHA) certification is a must.
    • Must have knowledge of Varian linear accelerators.
      • Schedule Information
      • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.
      • Potential for minimal overtime to meet clinic needs.
      • No weekend requirements.
      • Closed on major holidays.
      • No call or standby requirements.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Department Specific Equipment: GE Lightspeed, Varian 2100 IX.
        • No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) used.
        • Radiation Oncologist or covering physician available during treatment day.
          • Additional Details
          • Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system.
          • Must have an out-of-state drivers license if within 50 miles from the facility.
          • Former permanent candidates must be gone for 2 years to be eligible.
          • Former travelers must be gone for 2 years after a full year of employment.
          • Travelers' teams must be submitted together in one email.
          • Submissions limited to 2 candidates per opening.
          • Agency must provide rad badge to traveler prior to start.
