• Employment Type: StaffThe Inova Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor:- Front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit; embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes.- Role model who leads by example in delivering Service Always and in making Patient Experience a priority on unit(s) of responsibility. Seeks every opportunity to meet the unique needs of each person we are privileged to serve-every time, every touch. At least one year of experience in Labor & Delivery is strongly preferred.
  
  General Requirements:- Proficient in English, strong verbal, and written communication skills- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others- Values team collaboration- Proficient computer skills required
  
  Minimum Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 12 months of start date.
  
  Minimum Licensure/ Certification Requirement:- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start- Specialty certification (as required by the unit) within one year of hire.- Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within the first 90 days of employmentInova Job ID #656600.
