The Medical Surgical Nursing Manager will work alongside a highly specialized team of individuals all dedicated to delivering high quality patient care. Reporting to the Divisional Director Inpatient Services, the Nurse Manager Med Surg will be accountable for overseeing the 40+ bed medical-surgical and telemetry unit. Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager Medical Surgical include overseeing day-to-day operations, updating policy procedures, ensuring state and regulatory compliance, and department staffing which includes scheduling, payroll, disciplinary action, evaluations, and assisting with the hiring process. Additionally, the Med Surg Nurse Manager partners with the nurse educators to provide exceptional educational programs offered to new hires and current department staff. The Medical Surgical Nursing Manager should have a clinical background working in an acute care hospital in either a med-surg or telemetry unit, with prior clinical leadership experience as a Clinical Director, Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, RN Supervisor or Charge Nurse. Additionally, the Med Surg Nursing Manager should hold an active Registered Nurse license and Bachelor s degree.
