Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. Demonstrates safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines. Maintains equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition. Ensures that rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies and have required supplies readily available for procedures. Troubleshoots equipment effectively and reports equipment to Biomedical Engineering/vendor. Performs/recognizes the need for routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images.- Operates imaging and other related equipment according to manufacturers' specifications. Provides clinical services according to specialized ultrasound practice standards and acts as a resource to students, nurses, fellows, and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions.Requirements for Consideration:- Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.- ARDMS, CCI or ARRT registered with at least two sonographer specialties (i.e. OB/GYN, Breast, AB).- One year of experience in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of Specialized Diagnostic Medical Sonography.- Basic Life Support CertificationInova Job ID #658874.
