Job Description:

Provides support as a member of the seafood team including counter service, stocking, and sanitation. Ensures a positive company image by providing courteous service to customers and Team Members. Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment. Assists with sampling program and cleans cases, glass, and floors as required. Provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques. Maximizes sales potential through effective procedures for merchandising product. Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality and keeping cases clean and well stocked.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment.
• Assists with sampling program.
• Cleans cases, glass, and floors as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Maximizes sales potential.

  • Ability to sell proactively.
  • Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products.
  • Ability to visually examine products for quality.
  • Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on products.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures.
    
    Desired Work Experiences:
    
    • No prior retail experience required.
      
      Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
      
      • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
      • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
      • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
      • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
      • Ability to use tools and equipment.
