Job Description:

Assists with scheduling and supervision of Team Members and day-to-day department flow. Oversees Prepared Foods displays and supports Prepared Foods Team Leader and Associate Team Leader. Ensures a positive company image and provides courteous service to customers and Team Members.

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Works with Prepared Foods Trainer to train Team Members and build a high-performance team.
• Assists in training new Team Members.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean and well-stocked.
• Opens and closes department according to procedures.
• Gives all necessary breaks.
• Communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive team environment.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs.
• Selects, trains, and motivates Team Members.
• Provides performance evaluations.
• Communicates WFM vision and goals.
  • Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods procedures and policies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
  • Product knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance.
  • Demonstrated decision-making and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operations-related applications.
    • 12+ months retail experience.
      • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
      • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
      • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
      • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
      • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
      • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
      • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives and heavy machinery.Note: Requirements build as one progresses through the job levels.
